Venerd\u00ec 14 novembre, dalle 18.30, al Fondo Verri, a Lecce, in via Santa Maria del Paradiso 8.a – per Artigiana La Casa degli Autori, la Contrada del poeta – un grande ospite aspetta il pubblico leccese: il filosofo Sergio Vuskovic Rojo, uno dei massimi filosofi e letterati cileni. <\/p>\n

Conosciuto in tutto il mondo e soprattutto in America Latina, gi\u00e0 senatore della Repubblica, con nomina del Presidente Salvador Allende, \u00e8 stato sindaco di Valparaiso dal 1971 al 1973. In quanto sindaco della sua citt\u00e0, i militari del colpo di stato di Pinochet lo arrestarono l’11 settembre 1973, sottoponendolo alla tortura e, successivamente, ad anni di reclusione nei campi di concentramento.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Solo dopo uno scambio tra il dittatore Pinochet e papa Woytila, il quale si impegn\u00f2 a visitare il Cile, Sergio Vuskovic, assieme a qualche altro recluso, fu liberato e confinato in Italia, a Bologna, dove insegn\u00f2 Filosofia nell’Universit\u00e0 di Bologna per circa dieci anni. Amico personale di Allende e di Pablo Neruda, \u00e8 uno dei pochi superstiti rimasti ancora in vita che ha conosciuto direttamente il grande Poeta dell’Amore.\u00a0Nel 1988 gli fu conferita la cittadinanza onoraria di Martignano, in provincia di Lecce.<\/p>\n
